Friendship isn’t about whom you have known the longest.
It’s about who came and never left your side.

(Heck no, I didn’t run. Come on… someone had to hold the purses and take the pictures. And if it gave me time for a latte and beignet, well, Win Win.)
These girls are my tribe. Anna, pictured on left here and on the right in my banner photo (Italy 2003), is now battling brain cancer. In an effort to raise funds for her treatment, I began a new blog for her called MY CANCER HAT. It will be a group effort of friends and family to post regularly and keep you updated as to her progress.
If you think you can’t help, please consider donating something small, even just the cost of the aforementioned latte, as it all adds up. We are very grateful…

Nostalgia !!
Here’s hoping Anna, Elisabeth and I can do a celebratory 5K in another year…. and in the meantime I should dig my running shoes out of the closet so that I’ll be ready when the time arrives.
That’s an awesome goal to set. If it’s a walk-a-thon, I might join you. Otherwise, I’d be happy to take up my pit crew duties again.
How uncanny … I was going to DM you today and ask how your friend was. I’m heading over to your new blog. I’m actually writing for The Breast Cancer Society; the stories are both uplifting and heartbreaking. I’m rooting for Anna. She’s so lucky to have you as part of her tribe.
Thank you for helping me get the word out, Melissa! It means a lot. No matter what Anna says, she’s brave beyond description. How do they do it?
Did you tweet this so I can retweet it?
I did, but I can certainly do it again. =) Thanks for your help.
Lori, you are special. I too am rooting for Anna. May God continue to give her strength and courage. She’s already blessed with having you as a friend and I am confident Eden will indeed participate in another 5k with these lovely ladies. Faith has been known to move mountains so lets push together, sister! Sending Anna prayers and happy thoughts and you, as always, much love and hugs from Roxy and me!
Thank you, Bella! We’re all praying and doing what we can to keep Anna laughing. Your kind wishes help very much. And we hope you heal from your knee surgery soon — wouldn’t wanna start calling you hop-along! =)
