AMEN.
I have no idea where I found this photo.
But don’t you love the intensity?
And can I get a Heck Yes for the location?!
Sigh.
That is all.
My blogging friend, Bella, over at One Sister’s Rant suggested that we all grab our cameras and show off a little corner of our neighborhoods. So, here’s my little slice of Seattle.
****
As most of you know, last week a terrible shooting ripped through Seattle, and it started only about one mile away at the Racer Cafe, where four people were killed. The gunman killed another woman downtown while stealing her car. When police closed in on him later that afternoon in West Seattle, he shot and killed himself.
It feels cliche to say our hearts are with those who lost loved ones, but it really is true. All traffic slows when going past the Racer Cafe, and this is what they see – an outpouring of love and concern.
If so be, you ask me where they do grow?
I answer, there, where my Julia’s lips do smile;
There’s the land, or cherry-isle.

The University of Washing Campus is world renowned for their Yoshino Cherry Trees, purchased in the 1939, but moved onto the UW campus in the 1960s due to construction.
Here’s the crazy part: Until MSN ran a few cover photos about cherry blossoms around the world, in which the UW trees made the list along side Japan and Washington DC, I didn’t know these trees were there, approximately 1.2 miles from my front door! I know… sad shake of head. But hello, field trip.
